Summary
The Sheikah smelled….like Zelda, somehow. Smelled like Zelda, but not quite. Not the Zelda he knew, but perhaps, her family? This Sheikah smelled like they’d been sleeping rougher and fighting harder than the Zelda he knew. Red Sheikah eyes stared back at him, brows lowered.
“You’re gonna scare off my dinner, wolf.”
He caught it, in her voice, then. The scent of magic. Of disguise. Link frowned back at the Sheikah. Eyeing the distance, she aimed her bow well above him and fired. The thud of a dead bird, and the sound of wings, taking flight.
“Fetch,” she said.

This is a truthful story, for the most part. In the sense that it’s a story where I’ve endeavoured to tell you some truth: to be candid to you, and to myself, on some level. Of course, some details might be garbled, might very well be made up. This is a legend, after all. And legends aren’t exactly known for their factual veracity.
For all I know, the princess of this story might be an apocryphal princess: another fiction to feature, rather senselessly, among uncountably many fictions. For all I know, she might be wandering by your side, still drifting, still searching, still unmoored in all her myriad lives.
Because listen: in this story, Princess Zelda briefly broke free from time.

Summary
Link won’t lie- he gets lost a lot. That said, he’s definitely never been as lost as he is now.
After sleeping in a strange forest on a foggy night, he found himself in a land he’s never seen before. Brilliant, green, and new in some way he can’t quite put his finger on.
The people call it the land of Hylia, after the Goddess who is its protector. He’s never heard of a Goddess by that name, only a lake- but perhaps she’ll be able to help him figure out where he is, and how he got here?
