Summary
Three years after Kerberos, Keith is captured and sold in marriage to save Earth from the very man he's marrying: a warlord known as the Champion.
“Are you ready?” the Admiral asks. It’s the first bit of kindness she’s shown him.
Keith closes his eyes and curls his fingers tight around Shiro’s dogtags. He thinks of kind grey eyes, of soft kisses stolen in the moments before the launch, of mourning an empty grave. There’s nothing left for him on Earth.
Nothing except a few billion people relying on him to save them from the warlord they call the Champion. “Yes,” he says. “I’m ready.”

Summary
Years after Shiro vanished, Keith finds him again in the emptiest reaches of space and strives to save him at any cost— even if time in Haggar’s captivity has transformed Shiro into something monstrous.
Keith deactivates his mask, letting its protective cover ripple away. The air that hits his skin is thin and chilled, the ship’s dying engines barely able to maintain a livable temperature. And then, trembling, he leans in so close to the screen that his freezing breath mists its glassy surface.
He recognizes the symbols that spell out Champion and his heart seizes, drops, feels like it misses three beats. Images blink across the console screen for mere milliseconds: stills from the Imperial arena; a bare body on a slab; close shots of grey eyes opened wide. In them, Keith catches glimpses of a man he’d begun to think lost forever.
“Shiro,” he whispers just before his throat constricts like a withering vine, dry and brittle.

Summary
“This can’t be real,” Keith whispers. It’s enough to spur Shiro into action.
He takes his steps slow, cautious, and the boy’s eyes don’t stray from him, except to glance warily at his arm. He’s brave—stiff-lipped and chin raised—but bravery isn’t an absence of fear. Shiro can tell he’s terrified. He lowers himself down to kneel in front of him, to bring them eye-level.
“Lotor, is it?”
After the war ends, the universe attempts to return all that was lost along the way.

Summary
“Yorak, look out!” Takashi noticed the sigil on the floor a moment too late, unable to stop Yorak from stepping onto it with him. With a flash like lightning, the two found themselves struggling against a thick vine-like magic that wrapped itself around them, lashing them together. The harder they fought, the tighter their bindings became, until neither of them could move an inch.
Takashi craned his neck to look down at Yorak. “Well. This isn’t great.”
“Yeah, no shit.” Yorak’s voice was muffled from where his face was squished against Takashi’s chest.

Summary
"Apprentice Yorak," the witch says coldly over the screams. "Ensure the Champion's quintessence aligns with the enhancement."
The ruckus within the lab gives way to a sudden, eerie silence, and another Druid brushes past him carrying a disembodied arm on a tray—bloodied, crushed beyond repair...and unmistakably Terran.
Torn from home and family, young druid Keith knows little outside of his life under Macidus' tutelage. A new Gladiator from a distant and familiar world is about to change that all.
