The Pontifex herself replies, though it takes an almost discourteous amount of time; the letter is full of elegant, politic language until she all but says ‘I do not support your claim, and there is no Concord to rule besides.’ When she receives the letter, Plumbeline locks herself into her bedroom, throwing pillows and journals around like the child everyone keeps treating her as. Then, she sends a missive to the Fructeran Noble Assemberry, advising them to keep their people home and avoid getting involved in Vegetanian disputes; there is, after all, no Concord -- why should Fructerans risk their lives for someone who is not even formally their ally?
