Summary
When Dean was a kid, he used to fantasize about one day joining the likes of Gunnar Lawless in the ring. He just never imagined it like this: debased by the vampiric curse coursing through his veins, forced into fighting other monsters to the death for the entertainment of the Powers That Be.
He’s been stuck in Purgatory for so long he’s almost forgotten what it was like to be human. Escape is an impossible dream, and death isn’t an option either.
Until a new kind of creature is brought in, one who makes Dean begin to feel human again: an angel named Castiel.

Dean used to love being a nurse, used to feel like he was doing something good every time he stepped foot in the ICU. These days, more often than not, he’d rather be just about anywhere else. It’s for this reason that he’s once again found himself in bed with some super hot, super buff, super stranger from Grindr. Just something he does to take the edge off. Unfortunately, like everything Dean does, he probably should have thought about it a bit more carefully — Cas is a doctor, apparently, and there’s only one hospital in town, and when some cocky new resident starts giving him attitude in the notes at work, well, he just should have thought about it a bit more carefully. Summary
Five years ago, co-stars and best friends Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak had to say goodbye to their long-running TV show. Their on-screen chemistry had crossed over to IRL chemistry, but before anything could happen, Dean disappeared. He turned up in rehab several weeks later and permanently cut off all contact with the outside world.
A heartbroken Castiel tuned into a bitter one. When the entire cast of the show was reunited for a fan convention on board a cruise ship, old wounds resurfaced.
But that wasn't the only reunion on board. Dean had been in hiding for years, and the convention brought him back into the public eye. Someone from his past was planning to use the cruise to take back what was theirs.
Time might pass, but love remains. Will Cas and Dean be able to save each other before it's too late?

Firefighter and single dad Dean Winchester could never have imagined that after returning to duty after an injury that he would meet a handsome EMT who would take his breath away.
