Matt had smelled the whiskey and sweat as he approached his loft, so he barely starts when his father’s voice materializes behind him. “You know, Matty, I really like that Karen.”
And perhaps it’s a testament to how messed up Matt still is that he manages to ignore the remark— shrugging out of his jacket, hanging it on its hook by the door, and retrieving a beer from the kitchen before turning to face the apparition in his living room.

Summary
In the aftermath of the Snap, Foggy has picked up the pieces of his life in sight and made do with what little he has, but the shards of broken memories that bind him to all he once had are still in his bloodied hands, serving no purpose other than to remind him how much he has left to be ruined. He grips them in the cup his overlapped palms create still, unable to bring himself to let go.
Then, Matt returns, but nothing is as simple as either of them hoped it would be.
