He looks over, squinting in the dark. Will is still there, bundled up and facing the wall. His hoodie has bunched up slightly, the collar of it sitting right beneath his soft pink lips. Mack can't see clearly in the dark of the room, but his eyes fight to trace up the slope of Will's nose.
The guilt comes, like most bad things do, all at once. It's suffocating and all-consuming and so rightfully deserved.
