Summary
“Why are you crying, gē?” A child’s hand reached up to brush away the wetness. “Does it hurt?” Jin Ling grabbed desperately at the wrist of the small hand. “Gē?”
“...Jiùjiu…?” Jin Ling finally cleared enough of his vision to meet large grey eyes. He laughed a little breathlessly, wiping more of his tears away in disbelief. “Jiùjiu!”
“Did you lose your Jiùjiu?” the child asked. “I’ll help you find him, gē! My name’s Jiang Cheng.”
or: Two years after the events of the Guānyīn temple, a monumental error on a night hunt renders Jiang Cheng back to being a 8 year old child, which has more consequences than anyone could have expected.

Summary
Lotus Pier has many ghosts. Their grounds were once littered with corpses and their lakes dyed red with blood. The Massacre of Lotus Pier had been written down in history as the first major bloodbath under the reign of the Qishan Wen, leaving the sect haunted for many years before the Jiang Sect Heir reclaimed the Lotus Throne.
That was more than two decades ago.
Now the very sight of a water ghoul within several li distance from Lotus Pier was an occurrence that was enough to spark alarm among the cultivators. After the years of intense purging and delivering restless souls to the afterlife, little to no demonic energy could be found.
So where could this particular ghost have come from?! After two decades of inaction, why now of all times? And what beef does the ghost have against the very honourable Sect Leader Jiang?!
The Jiang disciples could only hazard a guess. That was fine, it really was, but how come Wei Wuxian was invited to help solve the problem? After 8 years of not seeing each other, how desperate was Sect Leader Jiang to call that wayward man to deal with the ghost?

Summary
Jiang Cheng has always known his place.
He knows what it means to be second, to be the one left standing in the wake of someone else’s brilliance. He knows how to hold his tongue, how to bite down on the words that will only taste worse when spoken aloud. He knows that longing is a useless thing.
But the body is treacherous.
The first petal comes quietly, slipping past his lips like a secret he never meant to keep. A lotus, of course. As if he could ever escape what was carved into his bones.
Wei Wuxian doesn’t notice. He never does. He is too busy laughing, too busy pulling at the threads of a life that will never tangle with Jiang Cheng’s the way he wants.
So Jiang Cheng stays where he is, watching, waiting, pretending it doesn’t feel like drowning.
After all, he has always known how to hold his breath.

Summary
Wei Wuxian gets thrown back in time. Obviously, his first instinct is to kiss Lan Wangji—might as well skip the yearning this time around.
Except… Lan Wangji doesn’t take it well.
Turns out, fate doesn’t like being rushed.
Turns out, maybe this story isn’t about him and Lan Wangji at all.
Maybe it’s about the boy waiting at the end of every battle. The boy who’s still angry. Still alive. Still reaching for him.
Maybe it’s always been Jiang Cheng.
