Summary
“What does it sound like, Satoru?” Suguru whispers back. Satoru reaches out and takes Suguru’s hand, gripping it like a lifeline.
“Us.” Satoru admits.
There’s a pause. Satoru slowly, slowly opens his eyes and peeks at Suguru.
He is smiling, cheeks dusted with pink. Suguru turns his head and gazes at Satoru, his bangs falling over his eye. Satoru reaches out and tucks them behind Suguru’s ear, letting his fingers trace over the round top of Suguru’s ear to the stretched lobe below. Suguru leans into his hand and says, “I was thinking the same thing.”

Summary
“Itadori?” Fushiguro calls, and Itadori nearly jumps out of his skin. His hand reflexively grips the doorknob he’d been staring at. His friend narrows his eyes at him with a frown playing at the edge of his lips. “Everything okay?”
Before Itadori can open his mouth to respond, Sukuna cuts coldly into his thoughts. ‘He’ll think you’re weak. Useless. Why can’t you enter your room alone? Because you’re scared of something that isn’t there?’
It’s new, the way that Sukuna interacts with him.
“Nothing!” Itadori replies. “I was just lost in thought!”
Sukuna takes a brand-new approach to obtaining full control over Itadori's body: paranoia.

Summary
Now that Yuuji thought about it, he deserved to die by Okkotsu-senpai's hands. Those hands whose owner was hurt because of Yuuji, had all the rights in the world to end him. Yuuji didn't care about that. Not anymore.
If he were to die, then so be it. It was his destiny ever since he swallowed that condemned finger, or maybe ever since he was born. Yuuji was nothing but a cattle waiting to be slaughtered. He was just a postponed poor thing, who relented to the fate written on his skin like a withered plant bending helplessly to the ground.

Summary
Typically, Nanami Kento did not think of his life in separate stages but rather as an accumulation of events that led him to where he is today.
If he were to go even further than that, he’d say that most of these events were marked by loss. Whether it be a big loss, like losing a friend, or small, like minor inconveniences throughout the day, these events all centered around the loss of something. Loss is what makes someone an adult, after all, and Kento was not the child who had walked into the Tokyo school shoulder to shoulder with Haibara Yu all those years ago. His life was defined by loss, and had been so up until now.
Up until Itadori Yuuji.
_____________
A study in loss and adulthood through the eyes of Nanami Kento.
