When Eren touched Historia's hand, he created several timelines to see how different outcomes would play out. The rumbling timeline was one of these timelines, others included partial rumbling, negotiations, running off with Mikasa etc.
At that moment when he kissed her hand, Eren also sent a version of himself from a timeline back to the day when Wall Maria had been breached, ensuring that he received all the guidance he himself needs.
