“What’s the fun in a masquerade if you don’t flirt outrageously with the prettiest person in the room?” the young man says flippantly, and then winks at Keith. Keith huffs a laugh, amused.
“You keep saying things like that, but you haven’t seen my face,” he says, gesturing to his mask. “I could have warts under here. I could have spots, or scars.”
“You’d be lovely even with all of those,” the young man says, and he suddenly sounds serious. It takes Keith by surprise, makes his heart twist along with his stomach. “Your eyes,” he continues, tilting his head. “I’ve never seen eyes like yours before.”

Summary
At some point, the Universe sends signs to people making them go on a journey to find their soulmate, be it a trip to a coffee shop or to another country for several weeks.
Lance is very excited to take on this trip, ending up travelling great distances.
Keith is the very opposite, making sure he never leaves his shack in the desert no matter how many plane tickets he gets in the mail and how many strangers pass by offering him a ride to the city.
So when Lance stumbles upon Keith in the desert, he thinks it’s all part of his trip, while Keith is very aware that he just met his soulmate and has no idea how to deal with this. -

Tbh all I want for Christmas is a gay Christmas romcom but since Hollywood can't give me that I guess I'll have to give it to myself. Except I took out all the unnecessary hetero drama. Ya know, just two dudes being guys. Just two guys being dudes. And giving each other makeovers because it's Christmas. And saying cheesy things to each other cause it's Christmas. And giving each other lots of snuggles and kisses cause it's Christmas.
