Peter could feel his heart threatening to crack in two. To know of and tolerate Wade's mental health struggles was one thing, but to be face to face with it was something else entirely.
It hurt that Wade thought their night on the roof wasn't real. Not because of any personal feelings Peter had about it, but because of how low his self esteem had to be to conceptualize the situation as something that would never be physically possible. To hear someone he thought so highly of suffering from something so mentally debilitating– it pained him more than he realized.
“Wade.” Peter reached out to cusp the other man's cheek, smiling at the quiet sigh that escaped him as he leaned into the touch. “I'm here. And I'm real– I promise.”
or, peter gets stuck on a mission for the avengers when all he wants to do is get home to wade.

“I think,” Peter continued, his voice just short of a growl. “that you wish the Avengers would leave me alone, just so I can have more time to spend with you. Because why would I waste my time with people who clearly don't deserve my attention? That's what you're thinking, right?”
“Well–”
“And you wanna know something?”
Maybe it wasn’t his proudest moment. He knew in the back of his mind that he was about to say something he’d regret. But even still, he could feel the agitation building and building in his chest, and he needed some kind of outlet before he practically imploded in on himself.
Peter leaned in, his chin nearly brushing the fabric of Wade's mask as he murmured softly into his ear. “I think that you keep talking about the Avengers taking advantage of me, but if you had it your way, I'm willing to bet you'd be the one taking advantage of me instead.”
or, wade has some issues with peter taking another mission from the avengers. he then proceeds to demonstrate just exactly why peter should stay focused on him instead.

Summary
When the screen blinks to life, it takes a second for Dennis to take it in, to comprehend the scene unfolding before him: it’s undeniably Mac, but not the Mac he was expecting. This Mac is doe-eyed and serene, his long eyelashes fluttering against his high cheekbones as he sits on the edge of the bed in his too-tight t-shirt, dark blue shorts riding high up his pale, skinny thighs. He doesn't even have that god-awful shamrock tattoo yet, he realizes as Mac leans back on his elbows, tipping his head to the side as he spreads his legs for the camera. Dennis feels the heat rising in his neck as the Mac in the video looks right at him.
"Mac...h-how old are you in this?" he rasps out, throat suddenly dry.
"Twenty, maybe?”
“Twenty?”

At first Charlie thought he must have misheard him.
“What?”
Shame burned in Mac’s eyes.
“Kiss me,” he spat. “It’s Mac day, dude.” And the look of torment in his eyes was palpable. It was powerful enough to send Charlie careening off of a cliff. A cliff he would never be able to climb. A drop he would never survive. Not in a million years.
He kissed him.
