Summary
In the summers between school, a young Hermione Granger finds companionship in a mysterious young wizard near her family’s country home in Wiltshire. They share their troubles under the comfort of their respective anonymity until one fateful encounter destroys their fragile refuge from the real world.
Years later, after a war that devastated Wizarding Europe, Hermione’s one wish is to pursue higher education for her Potions Mastery. Only, one clause leftover from deeply entrenched Muggle-born prejudice sends Hermione into the grueling social season with one goal in mind; to marry the least terrible eligible wizard.
To her misfortune, a scandalous case of mistaken identity binds her future to a man who is certain to be the worst of all. Draco Malfoy; the new Duke of Wiltshire, a war hero, and the boy who broke her heart.

Summary
FIRST PART COMPLETED. SECOND PART WIP.
Hermione is a mind healer for the Ministry and treats many war survivors, including Azkaban prisoners. Tired of her tedious relationship with Auror Ron Weasley, she pours herself into work. She has a very challenging case at hand—Draco Malfoy. He spent the first two years of his sentence in isolation and hasn’t spoken a word ever since. Kinglsey, the Minister, has always believed that Draco was only a child on the wrong side of the war and, close to Draco's release, he has specifically tasked Hermione to achieve his reintegration into society, despite their historic animosity.

Summary
It isn't often Hermione Granger does stupid things, but making up a boyfriend to avoid pity from her ex and saying she'll bring the made up man to a couple's getaway certainly could be classified as one of her stupider moments. Enter Draco Malfoy, who suggests an arrangement: they pose as a couple long enough for her to keep her pride, and for him to better the Malfoy name by dating a war heroine. What could go wrong?
