Izuku looked away, ignoring the hisses that spouted and the confused murmuring from Shoto. “They’re very important to me,” He replied after a long moment. A log on the fire crackled, and he felt it as though it were mirrored in his very chest. “The most important person. They’re everything to me. I can’t remember what they look like, or even their name, but – I just know – I know that somehow we’ll find each other again. Even with the curse.” Izuku gazed upwards at the star-studded sky, his freckled cheeks pulling into a smile that was a lot more genuine. “And if I can help some people along the way, well, that’s even better.”

Summary
The sound of footsteps jolts him out of his thoughts. Izuku smothers a scream behind his hand, the lunchbox perched on his lap shaking with his convulsions. In his two years of eating here thus far, no one has walked in on him before. Beside him, the cubicle door slams closed, and he can hear the shuffling noises of someone sitting down on the toilet seat. The crinkle of a plastic wrapper, quiet chewing sounds.
It takes him a while to realise that the stranger next door is eating their lunch in the bathroom, too. For a long moment Izuku just sits there motionless, fingers clasped around his chopsticks in a vice grip. Eventually the panic subsides, and in its place is an unusual camaraderie he feels with the stranger.
Before he knows it, he’s blurting out, “Hi I’m Midoriya Izuku.”
Izuku eats his lunch in the bathroom. One day, he's joined by a stranger in the cubicle next door.

Izuku's life is going amazingly well, with his Twitch channel where he streams himself playing video games and discussing the nerdiest things imaginable hitting 3 million followers, his best friend as his roommate, and his other close friends as tight-knit as they've been since high school. The only possible road bump is his viewer's continuous demands to know who "Kacchan" is - thanks to Katsuki often coming into his room during streams and Izuku's repeated attempts to pull him into video game competitions - and, more importantly, if they're dating. Which is crazy.
