Summary
Cleo was not a superstitious person. Despite the paranoia, and frankly, the insanity that surrounded them daily, Cleo was a relatively normal person. A normal farmer, writing letters to her mother. However, the town of Oakhurst held many more ghosts than they could have anticipated.

a cleo-centric fic focused on overcoming doing the easy thing and doing the right thing, werewolf pearl, and apo and cleo getting along for oncemoonrot vsmp au! there are some narrative changes, and this story begins in ep 1-2ish, and diverges from canon mid-episode three! lots of moonrot fluff but also vampires-typical angst. mind the tags!

Cleo didn’t say anything for a moment, but Pearl could feel their eyes on her. “What’ve you eaten today?” Cleo questioned finally.
“Uh.. Just some bread from the pantry.” Pearl said, lifting her eyes just slightly. They looked so delicious.
Cleo nodded, but Pearl knew, somehow she just knew they weren't convinced.
“I went to the market today,” Cleo said, walking around the table, standing just behind Pearl, breathing down her neck. “We were all out of bread.”Series
