Summary
Minho ignores him. Pointedly. His tongue runs over his bottom lip. He takes his glasses off, sets them on his desk. “Daddy issues? Mommy issues? A bit of both?”
Yes. That much is obvious. It seems redundant to bring it up when they both already know. “I want to be wanted.”
“And you think sex will do that for you?” Minho sighs. A long, drawn thing that blows up the hair at his brow. “Or are you chasing a false flag?”
“What do you mean?”
“Love.”
“That sounds much too serious,” Jisung swallows. His eyes feel wet at the edges, a wafer dipped in wine. “Permanent.”
“So, a bit of both, then.”

Summary
Jisung keeps telling him that he needs to get over his guilt complex, that not everything has to have ‘Seo Changbin levels of emotional turmoil’ attached. Step one of his escape into the middle of nowhere, no prospects, no future, and he’s already failing.
Changbin doesn’t even know if Chan is into men. He might be preying on a straight man, becoming the worst kind of stereotype.
He's working on admitting what he wants. That’s step two. He wants to take a break. He wants to stay here. He wants to fuck Jisung’s uncle, and maybe that’s okay too. Wherever the wind blows him, or, something like that. He wants to be the type of person that goes with the flow, takes things as they come. An open mind would do him good.

Summary
The conclusion Minho has come to after nights spent thinking of wavy brown hair when he spaces out during Jeongin’s kids shows, days spent with his eyes skimming the beach for a glimpse of honey skin, is that humans have an interest in the unknown.
Jisung is a new character in his day to day, the first in ages, ever since Hyeju got hired as a lifeguard. Jisung is pretty and he’s from the mainland but he seems to be setting up a life here, and Minho knows nothing about him besides his name. His brain has inexplicably latched onto a weaved story, a routine thing he and Hyunjin do, because humanity craves to learn more about the unknown.
The Jisung in his head is separate from the Jisung on the beach, though they look the same. A temporary annoyance, a psychological torment.
(OR: Minho, left to care for his younger brother after his parents death, works to make ends meet and doesn't have time for distractions. Jisung, a free-spirited and very distracting surfer, moves to town and turns Minho's world on it's head.)
