An emotion flashed over Aiden’s face for less than a second. It was almost close to hope, the way his eyes widened.

OR Aiden disappears from self-defense lessons and Ashlyn goes looking for him. When she finds him alone on a bus, visibly shaken, she also finds a hidden side of him she never knew.
