Billy and Stu have always been something more than friends.
When they were twelve or thirteen, they thought it was smart to practice kissing before dating girls. It started off as a game, a joke—but over time, it turned into a quiet ritual. Nothing romantic, just closeness. A way to feel safe. It made sense, in that way things only do when you're thirteen and half-feral with love you don't have a name for.
