Summary
It isn't as if Clark doesn't know Bruce is—attractive. Objectively. It isn't even that he doesn't know he's spent maybe a little too much time being really, really aware of that fact.
And sure, it's gotten to him, now and then. He's gotten twisted up about it, sometimes. Feeling too much, wanting too much, a pressure in his chest and a lump in his throat. But he's always gotten a grip on it again. It isn't that bad.
It—hasn't been that bad.
(Or: five times Clark was totally overwhelmed by Bruce's attractiveness, plus the time he finally did something about it.)

Summary
Clark tried really hard to throw the flowers out all morning, he really did, but then he could hear his mother's voice in his head telling him not to be ungrateful for a gift and that they were probably really expensive and Mr Wayne had obviously gone to some effort for him, and so they stayed on the corner of his desk all day as a mark of shame for Lois to giggle at.
Clark just wants to write a story about Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne has other ideas.

"That was," Bruce makes himself say, and then stops. Christ, what word can he use? What adjective is there that acknowledges his trespass fully? "Inappropriate." Inadequate, but it's the best he can do, and Clark needs to hear something, needs to know Bruce recognizes his own mistake for what it is. "I apologize. I—"

Summary
The staff meeting after Cat had broken her foot had involved a lot of reassigning, since she couldn’t exactly do the usual society beat with her foot in a boot. So much that Clark hadn’t really thought twice when Perry had said “and Kent, you’ll take the new Wayne foundation piece,” because sure, he liked working the philanthropy stories occasionally. It wasn’t until they’d gotten back to their desks that Lois had burst into a fit of snickering and said “oh, I would pay money to see how you’re going to handle Bruce Wayne for two weeks,” and Clark had realized how majorly screwed he was.
