                                    Dream is very very happy for his brother. He read a book for helping ..... basically how to help traumatized kids. It said something about building self esteem through tiny victories.

                                            Dream knows positive interaction is good for his little brother! And Nightmare is too shy to ever initiate it.

                                            So dream has to gently push nightmare to spend time with the others, with Dream there as a comforting presence. Nightmare will still try to stick completely near Dream, but at least he's less terrified when ending up alone with them. He's wary still but..... he seems to be opening up if Dream is there to make Nightmare feel like they can't touch him. After all, no one hurts him if Dream is there.

                                                It's disorienting how similar and different dream is. How that's his dream but doesn't act like his dream. How he isn't the same size and there are rooms now. How Nightmare is expected to use a bed but he's never slept in one. How he's used to having a kid dream to sleep with but that's no longer. How dream still has these tasks and chores even if it's for different people (even if dream doesn't realize nm would see it this way). How different a building is, ones he's rarely ever entered for long, than the grassy hills near their mother.

                                                Dream is ....still dream but Nightmare can't help but see the differences. It's a big change and Nightmare isn't prepared for most of it
