Summary
“You won’t fuck me over,” Pablo stated, “there’s nothing you’re keeping from me, right?”
Gustavo swallowed. “No, Pablo, nothing,” he lied and shifted on the chair again. Pablo’s hands shot up to his knees, one on each.
“You sure?” Pablo asked, insisted, while he looked straight at Gustavo, and – – suddenly Gustavo felt naked under his gaze, divested of all his protective covers, of every feeble denial he had ever tried to shroud himself in. He knows, he thought, with a sudden, startling, and horrifying clarity.
---
A young Pablo and Gustavo face death, which forces them to face something even more dangerous seething within them.
