Summary
Zenigata had worn a suit every day for years but Lupin had never seen him look this slick. His silhouette was all but perfect and Lupin felt it was a crime that he had been hiding it in that economically priced suit and crumpled mackintosh. It seemed Zenigata was realizing it himself too. There was something in how Zenigata was seeing himself that made Lupin's heart pulse.
"What's all this about, Lupin? Why are we playing dress up?" He asked.
"Because if you are going to be my bodyguard, it'll be nothing but the best." Lupin said it in a doting way and Zenigata could swear he saw the edges of Lupin's lips curling.

Summary
"So you gonna explain why you're here?"
Lupin took a deep breath and held it before he let it out slowly. He took a sip of the beer, feeling like he needed it more than he knew.
"Jigen wants to meet my new boyfriend." He said into the glass, hoping to keep it sounding grounded but sounding flat and embarrassed to his own ears.

Summary
It was August fourteenth (or technically it was already August fifteenth and had been for a few hours by now) and August fifteenth would mark a year since Lupin and Zenigata had become intimately intertwined. So when news had reached Lupin that, as a show of international goodwill, famed inspector Zenigata of Interpol would be called away to Madrid to organize and front the security detail for A Royal wedding that same weekend, Lupin made a solemn vow to himself that he would not be away from his beloved on their first anniversary.

Summary
"I don't know when the line between our work and our relationship blurred but it's all gone now. I spent the last months trying to find ways to keep you safe. Not once did I think of catching you the entire time. I love you. There are no buts about that." There was sadness under all of it and a touch of bitterness. "If all that isn't proof enough then I guess there's not much I can do."

Summary
"Come on, old man. It can't be that hard to think of HOW to be a thief. Your whole career was knowing how we think. You've got to have something that gets you into the headspace" Lupin chided. He assumed Zenigata had a switch he could flip in the back of his head that told him just what a thief like Lupin would do.
"I didn't spend my career thinking like thieves. I spent my career thinking like you." Zenigata corrected with a little half smile. "And still, it was like thinking in reverse. I don't know how to think like a criminal."Series
