Summary
Karl is a character that I hold so very dear, that I keep close to my heart. So for every letter in the alphabet, there will be a story about Karl. What does he like, long for, think and dream about? What does he do when Anders is not around? Longer stories and shorter stories, sweet ones as well as sad, and all of them about Karl.

Summary
They drag him from the Anderfels to Ferelden when he is only twelve years old, to trap him between stone walls together with people he does not know and a language he barely understands. Karl is the first person he connects with then, and later becomes many other different kinds of first to him; each others' light in the grey prison.
More than half a lifetime later in the Kirkwall Chantry, he forces himself to free Karl from a crueller prison still.
Years later he reduces that Chantry to dust, the last hope in his heart one of freedom for mages everywhere.
