Summary
Stiles is greatly disappointed with college so far. Long classes, boring professors, an unimpressed roommate, and serious lack of Derek. He thought it would be easy going to college further away, giving him incentive to work hard for the reward of returning home to his werewolf boyfriend. But Derek only plagues his mind more than usual now that he hasn't seen him for a few months.
And to make matters worse, Stiles procrastinated until last minute. Now if he can just get this paper done, he'll be free to tumble head first into bed with Derek and not emerge until the end of January.

Summary
Stiles is at Scott's New Year's party. Alone. He's not supposed to be, but his stupid werewolf of a boyfriend didn't show. It doesn't help that they haven't talked since they had their fight. To make it worse, he was looking forward to actually having someone to kiss at midnight when the New Year's ball dropped.
To make matters worse, everyone can tell that he isn't happy standing in the corner by himself. Scott takes the initiative to snap his best friend of his depression. He convinces Stiles that maybe it isn't too late for him and Derek to make up before the clock strikes midnight.

Sure, Stiles was in college now, and he didn’t have all the time in the world for anything besides academics and living his life like a college freshman should. But that didn’t mean he was growing accustomed to life without Derek, did it? Derek had continued to bottle up those fears time and time again, determined to not let them hinder his relationship with him. But every time he had Stiles in his arms, every gentle caress and stolen look felt as if it would only add to his pain when Stiles finally realized that he was too good for Derek. And he would, Derek was certain about it. Stiles was too good for him, at least, that was how Derek saw it.

Stiles was not having a grand Valentine's Day. He was stuck on campus. Shelving books. Derekless. All he's ever wanted was to spend Valentine's Day with someone. Someone tall, tan, handsome, with scruff, gorgeous green eyes, and a smile that could floor anyone. Well, that smile was reserved for Stiles exclusively, and he gladly abused that right. But Stiles was not going to see that for Valentine's Day, not even in a Skype call thanks to a pack meeting.
