Summary
Still not acquainted with Zhao Yunlan's parents long into his relationship with him, Shen Wei suggests having dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Zhao on New Year to break the news to them. Zhao Yunlan accepts begrudgingly, worried about his parents finding out that he is in a relationship with a man, but what he doesn't know is that Shen Wei has a lot more planned than he lets on.
“‘So… How long have you been working together? You seem rather close for colleagues.’ Mama Zhao ventured casually, alternating gazes between her son and his professor ‘friend’. Papa Zhao dropped his spoon, while Shen Wei stopped eating altogether to focus on a tiny stain on the tablecloth.”
