Summary
When Mayumi first got her quirk, it was terrifying. Both her best friends, Izuku and Katsuki, were with her in the trees surrounding the playground, playing "explorer". But then she was screaming, falling, and they didn't know what to do.
They still don't, by the way. It's just that now they are older and know better. They made a promise, after all. To be always together and protect each other.
That promise, made in the quiet of Mayumi's hospital room, had consequences that no one could see coming. But the trio could never regret making it, just how they could never be apart and happy at the same time.
Happiness, for them, was only possible by being at each other's side.
