He tried not to need. He really did. Maybe Trowa was figuring out that it was okay to want more than you had, to require more than what served the basic survival functions. We don’t need a house, he thought about saying, we don’t need friends if you don’t like them. But he couldn’t give up everything outside of Trowa if Trowa wasn’t standing still at the centre.
