Summary
Sapnap shifts in his seat, careful not to move his hand too hard and mess up the fresh polish. Something perilous and menacing builds up in his stomach, growing and reaching towards his throat until it spills out of his mouth. “Did you want to hold my hand that badly?” He teases, inspecting the boy’s frantic change in expression. Something about the way Sapnap said it made the “joke” sound serious. Karl’s lips are pressed to a tight close, blue eyes glazed over in some sort of want, cheeks flaming red and heavy.

Summary
“Is this really okay?” Sapnap asked, his voice barely audible, hesitant and anxious. The thoughts that had been clouding his mind left his mouth before he could think about the consequences. “I mean, normal friends don’t do this, right?” There was a moment of silence, only the sound of Sapnap’s heart pounding loud in his ears. His hands grew moist and shaky, gripping Karl’s shoulder for comfort, or maybe emphasis.
“They don’t… is that a bad thing?” His voice broke as he spoke, causing him to silently cringe at himself. Karl shuffled in place, turning to look at Sapnap. His eyes were pleading, hoping that their relationship wouldn’t change for the worst after this.Series

And maybe it was Karl’s laugh that made his heart beat a little faster; booming and unapologetic. Or the fiery patches that burned and overflowed his cheeks, gushing over his neck, all the way down to his velvet hands.
