Summary
"It is getting late now, and Lan Zhan knows from a decade of experience that Wei Ying will kiss anyone and everyone who is anywhere near him at midnight, and Lan Zhan doesn’t want to be just anyone. Wei Ying will flirt with anything that moves, but he doesn’t do relationships, and Lan Zhan is very much afraid that one kiss from Wei Ying would never be enough for him. Better by far to have none at all than to be haunted by the ghost of something that he will never have for real."
Wei Ying gets very drunk on New Year's Eve and wants to kiss a decidedly sober Lan Zhan for luck. Lan Zhan refuses, but promises to kiss him in the morning if he can remember their conversation...

Summary
Just some soft established relationship smut set around Lunar New Year/Valentine's Day 2021 (in an AU where COVID never happened). Sequel to I Want Your Midnights, but should be fairly readable as a standalone.
After ten years of what he had thought was unrequited pining, and six weeks of taking Wei Ying to his bed at every opportunity, Lan Zhan had rather thought he had plumbed the depths of his appreciation for every facet of Wei Ying’s body. But he is deeply mortified to discover, right here in his uncle’s elegantly appointed foyer, that even Wei Ying’s bare ankles are sexy. Self-discovery is an ongoing journey, of course, but Lan Zhan would really rather have learned this particular fact at a more convenient time or place. Perhaps this is some strange vestigial trace of spending so long surviving on whatever small scraps of Wei Ying he could get? A flash of wrist. The nape of his neck. And now, apparently, his ankles.
