Guido Mista is a ladies man, hopping from one night stand to the next. He isn't the type to date. It's too much trouble and he never saw the need for romance. He only wanted to get drunk and have fun: fun being meaningless sex. He figures if he ever did fall in love, he'd put the effort in then and only then.

Giorno Giovanna falls in love easily. But he never acts on the many crushes he develops. Doing so would be dangerous, so he keeps everything locked inside. Besides, unrequited love is useless, and there is no point in giving in to useless things. If his love was returned, he'd love freely then and only then.

This was how things worked. It was how it had always worked. But when their lives collide and intermingle, things begin to change for the both of them.
