Summary
There could be no real and true love between a Fire Lord and his Mistress, nothing more could bloom between the two except for lust and betrayal. That has always been the case for Fire Lords throughout history, even with their most favored and publicly prized Mistresses before marriage. She had been taught these lessons growing up in an infamous establishment of the Fire Nation's most desired exotic performers, the Fire Lilies. She kept the reminders of what has happened to the women who were once in her shoes close to her heart from the moment she and the Fire Lord first began this "affair"- and she had gotten good at keeping the Fire Lord at a safe enough distance emotionally throughout these last six months. Though, there is something different and new to the way he looks and treats her and she can't explain it, but he was starting to make her feel like a blooming Fire Lily in the spring.
She just had no idea if that meant danger...or if it meant a love that she had always wanted, but was too scared to accept.
