Description:

The Blacksmith is a fantasy graphic novel series about friendship, adventure, trauma recovery, queer love, and found family. It's funny, sad, joyful, horny, and heartfelt. Or at least it's bleeding well meant to be!
It tells the story of a blacksmith who must go on a adventure with an unlikely companion and the various trouble they get themselves into. You can look forward to, among other things: Trans and autistic characters written like human beings! Pretty men in perilous situations! A majority-POC cast that even includes - GASP! - fat people and disabled people!?!?!? (The author is a fat gay autistic disabled Trans man what's up.) Gay sky pirates! NO sexual assault or child abuse added for flavor like in other fantasy stories! Poltergeists and possession and Spotify playlists in the works for every chapter! AND MANY MORE!!!! :D

What you can find here is essentially a free beta version of The Blacksmith in the form of illustrator scripts and concept art! They will tell the whole story of the first book, and once that is done, I will use the feedback I get from these scripts to finalize the drafts and then fully illustrate the whole thing! There are three books planned in total.

Content warnings for the story overall include: kidnapping, threats of torture, torture (though likely nothing that would exceed a PG-13 rating), death/gore/blood/violence, PTSD, autistic meltdown, grief, nudity/explicit sex, and state violence against marginalized groups (though no explicit homophobia, transphobia, racism, or sexism.)
I will include more specific content warning at the start of each section of the story; please let me know if there are any particular triggers you want me to warn for and I will include those too!
