Summary
Completely non-comics compliant future fic in which Spike and Angel died in the final battle of NFA. Buffy travels the world, helping out groups of slayers and occasionally visiting the Slayer and Watcher School that has been established near a small town in England. Everyone has recovered from their physical and emotional traumas and is moving on with his or her life. Dawn is studying to be a watcher and has run into a bit of a snag when she and her boyfriend try to spend the night in the local haunted house. She calls on Buffy for help subduing the ghost.

Summary
Set in the future of my fic “Things That Go Bump in the Night”.
Summary of TTBG: Suffice it to say that Spike died in battle at the end of NFA, but his ghost was forced to haunt a house he had owned since he became a vampire as a punishment for going against W & H. The PTB had stepped in to insist that the punishment not involve physical torture, and that there be a loophole that could, conceivably, allow Spike to be free to move on to the next plane of his existence someday. The ghost has no memories of anything before his arrival in the house. Long story short, Buffy finds him, realizes who the ghost is, they become a couple, he gets his memories back, they have a few months of being even more of a couple and then he vanishes – having moved on to the next plane of existence. He’s not happy there. There’s no Buffy and it’s boring. After several months, the PTB send him back as a human, but with slayer powers so that he can be useful in the fight against evil.
This story is set eight months after his surprise return from the dead and gone. Somewhat predictably, Buffy is pregnant.Series
