Summary
Janus’s lips curled into a kind smile as he laced his fingers together on the table. “I can help you if you’d like. I’ve been told I’m rather skilled at calming people down.”
“No, you don’t have to—”
“I insist.” Janus said, eyes flashing before that kind, patient look returned. “Here, let’s get out of this place, hm? I know a park a few blocks down. Some fresh air will do you good.”

Summary
The sentence was normal, inconspicuous. No one would bat an eye at it in standard conversation.
The second the words left Roman’s mouth a switch flipped in Virgil.
Virgil picked up his phone and went straight to his keypad. The contact he had deleted the night of his escape, but the number was still seared into his mind like a brand.Series

Summary
Virgil smiled drunkenly at nothing, leaning into the warm safe smart that was his master.
Whenever he did something well, he would be pulled onto Master’s warm lap and be gifted soft words and gentle touches. He would whisper in his ears how perfect Virgil was, how good he was. And if Virgil did a really good job, Master would bring him to his meetings, his hands roaming over Virgil’s chest and thighs, showing off to everyone else how good, how obedient, how perfect Virgil was. It was those times that Master showed Virgil how much he loved him.
But Master would only show Virgil love if he showed him love first. Virgil showed Master his love by doing what he said. And if Virgil showed that he loved his master enough, Master would love him back.
Virgil loved when Master loved him back.Series

Summary
“Mhm.” Virgil nodded again, then, “It’s good not to remember…?” He asked, still a little confused.
“Yes, it’s so good that you don’t remember. Forgetting is good, Spiderling.”
“’M still a good boy?” He asked, looking up at Master hopefully.
Master sighed, a smile stretching perfectly across his face. “You’re perfect, little Spiderling.”
