Summary
The ring was still being set-up and it was nice to hear the light chatter and laughter of the Young Lions as they went about their tasks. Tetsuya remembered those days - the camaraderie that made the hard work and the long hours easier to bear. They were grouped up over in one corner but it didn't take his eyes more than a second to realize that none of them were the Young Lion he was actually looking for - even if admitting it to himself was difficult. But lurking at the edges here had no point unless…
There he was.
Jay White was climbing out from underneath the ring - somehow managing to look graceful and awkward all at the same time - and it was probably a sign of just what had happened to his heart that he thought a simple movement was adorable. His hair was hanging down in front of his face and he was fiddling with something in his hands instead of fixing it and that was just as adorable.

Like Naito could see everything that he had felt - ever endured - and liked what he saw. Like Naito saw his own wounds and understood how badly they still ached.
For a single heartbeat, Jay believed in something that he had known was impossible.
Those moments were something too precious to avoid and something too difficult to last. It wasn't that no one had ever looked at him like that. This was more than that. In a single moment, it felt like Naito had been looking for him for so long. Like he felt this warmth too. Like Jay was there with him in his dreams.
Impossible.

"Jay… what's that smile for?"
Those beautiful eyes widened as Jay realized that he could see a difference between his smiles and it only made that ache deepen.
"You… um…" The sound of his voice faltering made Tetsuya shift a little closer to him. "... you keep finding me…"
There was awe there as if Jay couldn't quite believe that he was looking for him in the first place. And this time, Tetsuya was the one holding back words. It would be too much to promise that he would always keep looking. He knew that but his heart swiftly took the weight of that unspoken promise upon itself.
"I hope so." It wasn't exactly what he wanted to say but even those words were so much for Jay. His eyes darted to the floor and Tetsuya missed his gaze immediately. "Don't be scared, leóncito."

Summary
He was overreacting.
But even as Jay's mind tried to tell him that, his feet kept moving. There was no excuse for him to be doing what he was doing but at the same time, there was. Something just didn't feel right. In all actuality, he should still be ringside - starting the process of taking down the ring. But for once his general invisibility was an asset. He had slipped away and was now doing something that was probably a bad idea.
Naito was hurting.

Summary
He had lost.
The mat was cold beneath his skin, the lights were too bright, and the title was no longer his. The crowd was cheering and he had lost. If he turned his head just a little, he'd be able to see Okada - triumphant and proud - but he didn't care enough to bother. He knew what that sight looked like, anyway. Had seen it before from other angles. One of the Young Lions was trying to help him out of the ring while another was trying to hold an ice pack to his head but he didn't want them there.
There was only one Young Lion Tetsuya wanted by his side and he wasn't that anymore.
