Summary
After Sherlock's funeral, John Watson leaves the flat on Baker Street and tries to move on. Soon, he meets the flawless Mary Morstan. John loves her, but thoughts and feelings for Sherlock begin to take over his mind and make him question the nature of the friendship they used to have, and the relationship he has begun with Mary. John knows that it's too late to turn back, and though danger is close at hand, he refuses to lose anyone else he loves.
Sherlock Holmes doesn't take the lonely months well. Old cravings and wants begin to change him, and cocaine becomes his new best friend. But even the drugs can't make him forget what he needs to live for: John Watson. And he'll do anything to get his old life back, even if it means risking his own life in the process.

Summary
John Watson moves back to his old flat on Baker Street with Mary Morstan. Thoughts of Sherlock plague his mind and start to drive him mad, and Mary tries to help but there is only so much she can do. Mycroft is determined to break the couple apart for safety precautions. John is determined to keep Mary in his life, yet he continues to question his feelings for Sherlock.
After killing the first major Assassin, Sherlock Holmes finds himself recovering in a strange new environment. Discovering that he is back in the house of his childhood brings back bitter memories and resentments, but he still thinks of John. There's still much to do in order to find the last two major Assassins.

Summary
John Watson finally enters Sherlock's room to find evidence Sherlock might have left behind for him to find. Immersing himself in research, he doesn't realize how close to danger he really is and no warning from Mycroft seems to change his mind.
Sherlock Holmes is desperate to go back home, to 221B Baker Street. But before he can go back, there is a lot he needs to accomplish. With help from numerous surprising people, he discovers Moriarty's last assault in the form of Sebastian Moran, a man who will do anything to make sure that John Watson is silent and that Sherlock Holmes isn't alive.
Only problem is that it might be too late.
