All at once, Edward wanted to take this man and leave as quickly as possible and take him far away, and protect him with every fiber of his being. This world was unworthy of this man. His heart was pounding painfully in his ears and he needed to calm the fuck down or else he was going to ask the man to marry him.

He knew Edward arrived before he actually saw him. The man stood out in any crowd and made waves. The energy the man brought could silence a room. Taller than most, with his long hair down his back, the ends just reaching the bit of exposed flesh at his lower back. His full beard was neat and well groomed covering his neck almost completely. When Stede spotted him, he felt his entire body heat instantly and his jaw clamped hard.
