“Sunshine, what’s wrong?” he ran his fingers through his hair. His hand stopped, feeling a messy bunch of hair strands following him oddly. Wilbur lifted up his hand, and pure dread filled him as a handful of hair was woven between his hands. Tommy’s hair was falling, like a dog shedding.
Tommy continued to sob, his cries drowning in hiccups.
“Tommy,” Wilbur whispered gently. “Is this what you’ve been trying to tell me?”

Or,Wilbur visits the children's hospital and immediately gets attached to a touch-starved blond child. Only thing is, he forgot why children are in the hospital in the first place.
