Summary
Illumina wasn’t blind. He saw the way fans talked about the hermits, as if they were just there to put on a good show. They were just a way for the better players to gain points. They weren’t good.
He knew better though. He saw the way Fruit made the others laugh. And Illumina wanted to join them, because he wanted to make an impact. He wanted to make a difference.
Fruit may have impacted the hermits, but Illumina hadn’t missed the way that the hermits had changed him, Illuminas best friend, for the better in return.
The competitor had made up his mind, so as an impulse decision he walked towards Scotts table.

The digital clock next to his bed was the only thing illuminating the dark room, it read 4:07 in red numbers. The ravenette had managed to get around an hour of sleep at most, which definitely wasn’t ideal considering the event was starting in a couple of hours and being sleep deprived really wasn’t what would make you perform well.
And that was all that mattered right? Performing well, and being a good player.
That's atleast what everyone around Sapnap always seemed to believe, so it must be true... Right?
