But it turned out that it wasn't, and while it hasn't always been easy, transitioning from best mates to something more, it's been well worth it for both her and Molly as the two of them have found something that has definitely been better than either of them have dreamed of.

Notes:

A post-"His Last Vow" AU where Molly goes over to Sally's place the night before Sherlock is supposed to get on the plane for his one-way trip to Russia. Molly an Sally get drunk, with Molly imbibing more than Sally, and Molly kisses Sally, though the next morning she thinks she dreamed it until Sally and Her get in a small fight. Molly admits later that evening that she fancied Sally, who Molly knew was bisexual beforehand, but she didn't want to ruin their friendship. Molly had had a bicurious phase in university but thought it was just a phase; it turned out she was bisexual as well but had just had a preference for men unti she started feeling attracted to Sally, around the time of John and Mary's wedding. Molly was planning on ending her engagement to Tom over it even if she and Sally never got together. The rest of the series follows them navigating from moving from friends to a romantic relationship, and is not Series 4 compliant.
