“Thank you, Professor.” Jeongin tries not to stutter on his words. As nerve wracking as this interview is in general, he’s also distracted. Chan was in the passenger seat, talking to his boyfriend as they held hands over the center console. The radio was low and just enough to distract Jeongin from Chan’s soft giggles and Felix calling him baby.
Maybe god had it out for him? Why else would he be here right now?
But he knew this was all his fault.
He’d tagged along on their trip to the big mall a couple towns over, about an hour and a half drive away. He needed to get to the sports shop in there, get some new grip for his lacrosse stick and some wrap for his elbow he knew would get fucked up again after their first play off game that was quickly approaching. And because Jeongin had suffered through the ride there (which wasn’t as bad as now, on the way there the radio was louder and Chan had been asking him about practice and his new gym routine, complimenting his arms and his chest in a way that had Jeongin willing down a boner) and he knew he’d have to suffer through the ride home, he stopped by the small sex shop before he met back up with the couple to get some more flavored lube and maybe he bought a new weird dildo that was his favorite color.

“So, what are you majoring in, Ayen-ah?” Changbin asks as he sips his iced coffee drink. Jeongin looks up from where he’d been picking apart the cookie he’d bought to eat. Jisung reaches over to ruffle his hair and Jeongin bats him away and complains, his busan accent slipping through enough to make Chan giggle.
“I’m actually majoring in social work.” Jeongin says. “I’m really passionate about helping children find the right home and making sure they’re safe. I had an internship when I was back in Busan at community college. It’s really touching.” He looks up from his cookie finally and Changbin is smiling widely at him.
Jisung leans in to press his cheek against Jeongin. “My innie is so cute, he loves children! We’ll have to give him some,” He mumbles the last part and Jeongin feels himself start to blush wildly. He reaches out and punches Jisung in the shoulder with as much force as possible.
“Shut the fuck up, dickhead.” He says.
