Summary
The night Lucerys Velaryon left this world, lost forever to the raging seas below him, the thunderous sky laughed in mockery as it had already seen the future to come.
Seen the dragons dancing.
Foreseen the once strong house Targaryen crumble to nothing as the last of their great beasts died, abandoning them to fester in madness as the magic in their veins turned black and rotted them from the inside out without their monsters of old Valyria to balance it.
The Targaryen's had fallen from grace in the most tragic of ways, and it all started because of one fated feud, a push and pull of obsession and lust.
Though the god’s may be petty, they are not sadistic. They simply gifted the family with the futures they made for themselves. King Viserys selfish need to continuously push his weak wife through pregnancy, Alicent’s cruel whispers of the Velaryon boy’s parentage, and Rhaenyra’s thoughtless affairs. If the futures the god’s gifted them were cruel and heartbreaking it was no one’s fault but their own.
However, just as the god’s gifted the Targaryen's a future they made for themselves, they also gave them another.
A second chance.
