Even before he was exiled, Lez knew the world was total shit. He barely needed a second glance to know why: adults who wanted to kill him, traps that spelled doom if they struck and of course, the cold. Lez was familiar with the cold for it was an old companion that reminded him that he was still alive on dark nights when he thought he was dead. That night in New Dream was cold, but Mono’s bed was the polar opposite of the world around them: warm, soft and cozy.

Mono was captured at long last after all that bullshit of tracking him throughout the Maw, not that Lez minded the chase as much as he used to cuz now Mono was caught and he was his, all his like he should’ve been three years ago. Lez grinned evilly to himself as he stood to his full height, hoisting the now sleeping Mono against his chest, fingers resting on the teen’s back and rump to support his weight and ensure he didn’t fall and die against the floor.
