Elrond should have known the first time he laid eyes on Thranduil. Nothing so beautiful could be so righteous, and Thranduil was beautiful, even for an elf.
A very angry and wine fuelled Elrond looks back over the night he just spent with Thranduil. This leads him to recall their first times together.
