Summary
Leaning forward, Prince Minho picked up Chan’s metal foot, turning it curiously over in his palms. Chan tensed, watching as he peered into the wire-filled cavity. He used the too-long sleeve of his sweatshirt to polish off a smudge.
“Aren’t you hot?” Chan said, instantly regretting the question when his attention returned to him.
For the briefest moment, the prince almost looked embarrassed. “Dying,” he said, “but I’m trying to be inconspicuous.”
Chan considered telling him it wasn’t working but thought better of it. The lack of a throng of screaming girls surrounding his booth was probably evidence that it was working better than he suspected. Instead of looking like a royal heartthrob, he just looked crazy.

Summary
Jisung recognized the handsome street fighter immediately, partly due to an array of scars and bruises on his tan skin, but more because he was the only stranger in the tavern. He was more disheveled than he’d expected, with hair messily thrown up in a half-up ponytail and a fresh bruise around his under eye. But he did have a strikingly beautiful face with plumb lips.
“I wanted to make sure you were all right,” he said, his voice almost lost in the jumbled noise from the tavern.
Jisung would have smiled, but he didn’t have the energy after all the anger and frustration of the afternoon. “I wish you hadn’t gotten involved at all. I had the situation under control.”
“Clearly.” He squinted at him like he was trying to figure out a puzzle. “But I was worried you might draw that gun on him, and such a scene may not have helped your case.”
Jisung’s hand instinctively went to his lower back, where a small pistol was warm against his skin. He was quite sure not a single person had ever noticed the gun concealed under his usual red hoodie. Until now.
“How did you know?”
He shrugged. “I saw the handle when you climbed up on the counter."
