Summary
Brock glanced at the clock.It was 03.00. Jack should have been home a half hour or so ago. Brock’s eyelids were starting to feel heavy and the text blurred a little. Time to stop reading about miserable assholes on windswept moors and relax. He wanted to be awake when Jack returned.
Right now Brock missed the smell of Jack and his own body spray wafting from the sheets. He was missing Jack.
This was a window of opportunity in terms of Jack catching Brock at his most amenable, pliant and open.Series

It had been Jack’s idea for them to go on vacation together, just the two of them. The weather would be good, there was the kind of food he liked, lots of wine, and it was a break.

Summary
This was nothing, this was normal, Brock remembered, this was part of the deal. It was just Jack, his buddy, his second, his rock and they understood each other. He just wanted to bring Brock here because of his grandmother.
Of course it was that Jack wanted to see Brock relax and enjoy the break… Jack was thoughtful like that. Jack wanted to watch his beautiful olive skin turn bronze in the sunshine, see him smile, taste wine with a tongue in his mouth… Nothing wrong with any of that.

Summary
On the edge of the pool in Arezzo, Jack grinned up at the cloudless sky. It was a moment of content at just being here, a goal achieved. Brock was with him, they were physical miles and psychological light years away from work and the usual routines. This was going to be fun.

Brock watched as his Italian companion ordered him a coffee and a light salad. Brock’s nose and throat were still a little raw from the pool chlorine, he was more refreshed than in the first hours post-flight and the idea of a snack was pleasant.
This was not unusual, he had shared a quick drink with men he had hooked up with on two or three occasions. What was unusual was the tone of this particular hook up.Series
