Jin Guangyao shook his head, stopping Lan Xichen from even reaching for his phone. “Him and Wei Wuxian have been holed up in the arcade most of the day. They’re not even close to where Huaisang is.”
“Oh, when did you talk to Wei Wuxian?”
“I didn’t. I installed Life 360 on everyone’s phones at the beginning of the trip since many of us have a tendency to...” Jin Guangyao paused, deciding on his choice of words. “Wander.”
“I’m sorry? How did you get onto Wangji’s phone? I’ve never seen him leave it where other people can get to it, let alone let others use it besides Wei Wuxian.”
Jin Guangyao lowered his dark eyes in what was an obvious show of false bashfulness. “I paid Wei Ying five dollars to install it for me. Wangji is someone I’d rather not cross.”
Nie Mingjue was glaring at him with his arms crossed across his chest, waiting for Jin Guangyao to meet his gaze. When he did, Nie Mingjue said, in a quiet but fiercely powerful whisper, “What the fuck?”
Spring break has officially begun, the group of friends picked a waterpark for their three day vacation. That's it. That's the whole story.
