Summary
Regulus didn't know exactly when he started writing; it was so long ago, but today, he was glad he did. These days, it seemed the only way he could express himself without judgment was through writing.
Regulus didn't know when it all went wrong, when his mother's seemingly gentle caress turned into the tight gripping of hair, or when her gentle sloping smile turned into angry snarls and a foaming mouth that was quick to cut deeper than touch ever could.

Summary
Regulus was fed up; when he put his name in the goblet of fire as a joke alongside his friends, he didn't expect any of their names to be called. So when his name was announced in the Great Hall loud and clear for everyone to hear by a gleeful-looking Dumbledore, he wanted to hex the old oaf for looking so happy -probably rejoicing at the chance of watching Slytherin be humiliated- the prejudiced dick. Still, here he was, sitting in the great hall with everyone's eyes on him, waiting for a reaction, debating his life choices.

Summary
Regulus wasn't sure how it had come to be, but in his arms was a sleeping, baby version of himself.
The baby was tiny and fragile-looking; its small, pale hand clenched onto Regulus's robes, not wanting to separate from the warmth and Regulus's careful hold. The baby had yet to open its eyes, but Regulus knew that had they been open, they would be identical to his own. The baby's face was flushed a light pink, with freckles splattered on it, and had a tiny button nose, which Regulus wanted to run his finger over.
Truthfully, the baby had more hair than anything, soft black, curly locks spouting from the baby's head in every way, seemingly untamable. The baby's rosy lips were in a pout, with deep dimples that would not go away, no matter what, not wanting to be hidden.
