Summary
Zhongli, in his quest to better understand mortal life in his retirement, had struck up a close friendship with Baizhu, admiring the hardworking doctor’s kindness and compassion. One day Baizhu fails to arrive to one of their scheduled meetups and Zhongli finds him overworked and falling asleep on his feet at the pharmacy. Baizhu collapses into Zhongli’s arms, and Zhongli resolves to care for the man he had come to feel more than friendship towards.
