  Summary

  “Whoever you think I am, I am not him.” He says, but falters, because Elian sounds so sure. In everything he thinks he knows, a crack forms. “I have never lived in this forest. I couldn’t possibly be the man you are looking for. I’m sorry.”

  But Elian shakes his head, and approaches despite the weapon pointed at him. He puts a hand on his arm and Viper can't bring himself to stop him as he lowers his sword. This close, he can see there are tears in his eyes, and the assassin feels guilty, even though it isn’t his fault that the elf thinks he’s someone else.

   

  Or; in a world where the Redbrands are a group that no one would dare to cross, Viper Nightingale works under them as their greatest assassin, his loyalty undying.
