Summary
"And sometimes, two gay penguins find an abandoned egg. And then they take care of the egg and take turns sitting on it until it hatches", Buck went on. "And then, when the baby penguin is born, the two penguins care for it and raise it because they're that baby's moms or dads now."
Chris' jaw dropped in absolute amazement as if his Papa had just found out how to turn metal into gold. "Baby penguins can have two dads?"

Summary
After Eddie let him go, Christopher pulled another item out of the bag. It was a picture frame. Buck took it from him, curiosity sparking inside him. In the frame was an old picture. The Buck and Eddie in it were noticeably younger, and not just because they were thinner and less bulky. This must have been just after Buck had left his parent's home and moved in with the Diazes. In the picture, Eddie had an arm around Buck's shoulders, and in Buck's arms was a small bundle. No thinking was needed to know who that bundle was. Tears welled up in Buck's eyes, and from the sniffles next to him, he knew Eddie was the exact same.
“Carla helped me call Abuelo and Abuela for that," Chris explained softly. "I asked if they had a picture of us that we don't have. Abuela said this is the first picture of us three together ever.”

Summary
Under other circumstances, Bobby would have shrugged it off. However, he couldn’t help but notice Chris' demeanor change after this. His smile didn’t reach his eyes anymore, for one, and whenever Bobby would reach over to grab something, Chris would quickly withdraw his own hands as if Bobby’s were deadly poison. Chris’ eyes didn’t meet his own anymore either, which is when Bobby decided he needed to get to the bottom of this.
So once all the cookies had been formed and the tray was in the oven, Bobby ushered Chris to the bathroom to wash up, before sitting him down on the couch.
“So,” Bobby said, kneeling down in front of him. “Wanna tell me what’s up?”Chris looked downward, his hands wrung together. He caught his bottom lip between his teeth.
“Um…” he said, his jaw wordlessly moving up and down for a few seconds before he looked up at Bobby. “Am… Am I a burden?”
